Well the worst part is that they weren't even talking about me. It was a bunch of girls talking about my girlfriend. I know it makes me sound like some kind of white knight but I don't care.

There's nothing wrong with being a "White Knight", and don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise.

There isn't anything wrong with sticking up for your gf. I wouldn't consider that "white knighting".

"White Knighting" is a ****ing stupid term anyway. I acknowledge there are some, rare circumstances where it's use could be justified but 99% of the time I see it used by ****ing dickheads in an attempt to validate the fact they are a ****ing dickhead.

Given that context yeah, it's a ****ing stupid term as well as the validation thing, but the act of coming to someones aid should never be considered a negative thing.

It is a perfectly fine term and if you aren't sure what it means. Here is the urban dictionary meaning. It doesn't seem like you two know.

white knighting
In forum parlance, it means rushing to the aid of another poster for whatever reason. An accusation typically reserved for when a poster is being hammered by another poster(s) and the accused leaps in to defend them, usually without thinking things through as to why the person is being attacked.

I have done it my share of times when I shouldn't have.

I'm aware what it means. I stand by what I said. Whenever I see it being used, it tends to be by someone I wouldnt piss on if they were on fire.

So, by comparison Batty could be considered a "Black Knight" then.
