What's the dirtiest thing you've seen at work btw? I want to hear those horror stories. |
Well, there a rumor back around 1980 that Gino's (they had a contract to make Kentucky Fried Chicken in Baltimore until KFC opened its own restaurants) cooked and served a fried rat at one of its franchises.

They also found faecal matter in a curry restaurant, apparently that one was bad and it got shut down and the owner was taken to court. Some horror stories with some take away places but tbh you know which ones to avoid. Anything that doesn't specialise in one type of food is a no for me. |
I use to work restaurant. The worst I saw happen was a fellow cook dropped a scoop of ice cream onto the floor, and he picked it back up, rubbed the dirt off the best he could, and put it back in the bowl. The only reason he went out of his way to do that was because apparently this customer was horrendous.
We had the occasional wing **** up. In the middle of a rush, the fry cook would toss the wings in the wrong sauce, so instead of starting over, he would wash them off with water, dip them in the fryer in and out a few times, then toss the wings in the correct wing sauce. |

I would eat a washed wing. |
Someone who may or may not be me once put a pube in some douchebag's sandwich, but I'm really the only filthy **** who lives up to restaurant horror story hype. It's way tamer than you'd think. We just want to get you the hell out and ****ing with your food takes extra time.

worst i did when working at mcdonald's was serve a customer a fish fillet that was at least 18 hours old. we're supposed to throw them out and cook new ones every like 40 minutes or something crazy like that, just didn't feel like going through the effort of waiting on a new one in the fryer. it looked so hard and dry it probably hurt his teeth to bite into.
