Question: What should you do if a dog barks at you and he's outside the fence?

Answer: RUN, RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!

Batty, you do realise that barking at at dog who's already barking at you will be taken by that dog as a challenge, don't you? At best, he'll keep barking and get more aggressive, at worst he'll go for you. Stupidity 101, my friend. Do NOT challenge a dog's alpha status.

Dogs generally don't see a human barking at them as a threat because they're just confused as to why you're barking, cause you're not a ****ing dog. And this was a dog in the general vicinity of the neighborhood that was clearly in its yard while I was far off in my own fenced in yard.

No. Dogs are scary and rabid, always. Just like the movies.

You're still an idiot for inciting and tempting him.

Where dogs are concerned, always defer to them if you don't know them and they don't know you. A friendly approach will always work better than an aggressive one. Simples.

There was 1% chance this dog was even going to know where to find me. And even if I was outside its house the yards around here are almost universally fenced in with privacy fences so it would have been a non-issue. You're just a pussy.
