tfw you need to be more careful with your liquor because the change in season makes you manic/depressive and just because you're manic doesn't mean you're invincible.

I getcha. Kind of like if they put the minds that are making marijuana stronger and stronger towards cancer research it could do a lot of good. But hey I'm stoned and horny so I'm not complaining.

Ok, got it. And you're probably right.

Carpe Mortem 11-24-2014 03:04 PM

TFW you find out the hard way that the cash you've been giving your mom for car insurance has not gone to car insurance... Coupled with the elation of finally having your own policy, albeit at a ridiculous rate because of the three month lapse in coverage.

Or, you know, one affliction might be vastly more complicated than the other from a medical standpoint. Maybe you're right but I'd wager its more a matter of difficulty than what a strictly cynical mind would consider greedy priorities.

John Wilkes Booth 11-24-2014 05:50 PM

that is a good point and i considered that as well but didn't mention it cause it would've detracted from my point. my initial post was sort of a cynical joke which probably has an element of truth to it but is also an oversimplification of the thing i was joking about.

For as little as I remember from last night, I wasn't sick at all.

But it was really too much.

GuD 11-24-2014 06:37 PM

You were def giving me a run for my money as drunkest MB member for a bit lol. I woke up buzzed but managed fine. Caffeine, thou art my lord and savior. Blessed be thy name.

ladyislingering 11-24-2014 06:40 PM

Man that's hilarious.

Also I think I'd die without caffeine.

John Wilkes Booth 11-24-2014 06:42 PM

me too. i drink so much tea and coffee to keep myself going throughout the day. its the one drug i don't even feel bad about relying on since it seems like it makes me smarter and more capable instead of the opposite, and doesn't **** up my organs too bad in the process.

GuD 11-24-2014 07:03 PM

it's actually very good for you:

John Wilkes Booth 11-24-2014 07:31 PM

yea i've heard that before. i tend to take **** like that with a grain of salt cause i know they are always finding results and then finding new results that debunk the old ones but just the likelihood that it probably is true does make me like caffeine even more.

And with enough coffee you can read all of those research papers in five minutes.

Coffee wins.

TFW when you realize you are not winning any awards for parent of the year. :(

GuD 11-24-2014 09:07 PM

I've never borrowed from my family but I've lent and learned the hard way that it's not a good idea. Not with my folks, at least. Policy made, no lending. No borrowing. No drama.

Carpe Mortem 11-24-2014 09:52 PM

I was under a policy with her because my age and lack of credit made it very expensive to have my own. But, she canceled the policy, didn't tell me, and has been collecting my cash for her own purposes while I roamed the roads oblivious to being illegal. At the risk of sounding bitter, not the first time the woman has ****ed me over. Car insurance was the last tie I had to her, probably won't be talking much when I get this new apartment.

GuD 11-24-2014 10:31 PM

tfw your faith in humanity is tested by society's shortcomings and you're tryna be a happy, positive person but goddamn if that world ain't a heavy one to rest on the shoulders and goddamn if that conscience ain't a loud one. Jimminy, take a sickleave ffs.

Holy ****. To **** over your kid like that, I keep thinking she must have used the money to buy heroin or something. How do you do something that scummy?

DwnWthVwls 11-25-2014 04:21 PM

TFW your professor sends out an email canceling class on an exam day! Wtf? I hope everything is okay.

Well... Oxy isn't technically heroin I guess.

Yeah man. My mom sucks. There's a reason my dad was awarded custody when they divorced back when I was 2, judges almost always give it to the mom. One of my biggest regrets in life is moving in with her once it was my legal choice.

Edit: Also scored a job at a financial firm, woo! It'll be nice to be the youngest, least intelligent employee for once. TFW being the dumb one is a good thing.

Young, hot, and weird? There'll be some buttoned up yuppy looking to throw his money at your tits. Just remember to slutty it up when you get dressed in the morning.

Chula Vista 11-26-2014 07:18 AM

Chewing gum a lot helps too.

The Batlord 11-26-2014 07:47 AM

And don't forget bananas. Eating bananas is the office slut's best friend.

Carpe Mortem 11-26-2014 08:11 AM

Its a smallish firm, small office. There would be limited opportunity for sex-based advancement if I was into that.

John Wilkes Booth 11-26-2014 08:13 AM

in and out of court in an hour flat... that's a great feeling to me.

You said limited, not nonexistent.

ladyislingering 11-26-2014 08:23 AM

tfw everyone on my team needs to stfu

GuD 11-26-2014 04:38 PM

tfw all your coworkers at your new job are hella pretty and you're just like nope. nopenopenope. datingcoworkerisbad. nopenopenopenopenopenope.

The Batlord 11-26-2014 04:57 PM

TFW you know WD is full of ****, and is gonna try to hump half his coworkers before Christmas.

GuD 11-26-2014 05:02 PM

why is dating coworkers bad?

or at least... why is ****ing coworkers bad? work has always been one of the main places to meet women for me.

The Batlord 11-26-2014 05:18 PM

Me thinks the ladyboy doth protest too much.

GuD 11-26-2014 05:32 PM

Drama, I guess?

I've only ever heard negative stories from people who've dated coworkers in the service industry. Especially when it's something like food where everyone's in tight quarters, bumping into each other and stuff.

John Wilkes Booth 11-26-2014 06:33 PM

unless this is your career you're really investing in honestly i think workplace romance gets a bad rap. a lot of people hook up at work.

Frownland 11-26-2014 06:34 PM

As long as they understand that it's casual it shouldn't be an issue. Unless you're looking for a relationship of course.

DwnWthVwls 11-26-2014 06:47 PM

I keep work at work. I occasionally socialize with co-workers but I'm generally against it unless the place is really big and it's not someone you cross paths with often while working.

Mondo Bungle 11-26-2014 06:50 PM

My best friends are a couple who work together at a restaurant, everything seems fine over there. But one's a dishwasher who never leaves that area and the others some kinda host or something...and she only works like two days a week.
