tfw your future mother in law gives you a nod to her secret liquor stash at the family reunion but you've already brought your own (and she thinks you're smart)

Thanks, I appreciate it.

This was a friend that I had mentioned in my journal in the Chum Bucket. When I first heard Ritchie Blackmore on Don Kirshners "Rock Concert" back in 1980, it was at his house. He was part of a drag racing/pro street family, and while we were watching the show that night, his Dad was building a Cushman motor right there in the living room. Over the years him and his brothers all had made names for themselves in the local circuits, so this is a shock to everyone and there are a lot of mixed emotions from a lot of people about this right now. Recently, he had been going through some personal problems along with a rocky relationship, so there's a lot of finger pointing going on, and it's really ****ing sad. I've dealt with many deaths over the years. This one feels like a piece of my childhood just died.

Oh man, I remember that entry! When you first heard Rainbow? God, somehow (and don't take this the wrong way) this makes it feel a little more personal, as if through you I knew the guy. Which I didn't of course. But it's just you mentioned him, so it's a little closer than it would be otherwise. Maybe you should (silly ideas copyright Trollheart MMXV) write a tribute song to your friendship? I dunno. Take care, man. I'm here if you need.

No worries. Might be a good idea since I may never have picked up a guitar if that moment never happened that he was huge part of. But, that seems a little egotistical to me. I don't know. Maybe I'm over thinking things.

Just play a little "Man on the Silver Mountain" and hoist a brew in his memory.

Funny you should say that. I've always hated playing that tune. Just about perfect.

Whats mind bending is not that I actually sat through the whole thing, but that I really have no opinion on Jenner whatsoever.... More power to her whatever...Back to Kanye, kei kei kei dweeb.
