Buying this small piece of land adjoining our garden to stop anybody building on it and causing havoc with our peaceful lives...Just the day before we are to sign the deeds it is cancelled some paperwork not completed so now looking at the 17th May...questions are arising over the French neighbours who are the ones selling it to us, show us the Cadastral which is the map of the land and adjoining properties stating that the area of land is not exactly all theirs...that is what it sounded like as they French is deep and difficult to understand..I query this with the Estate Agent and that is when the Soap Opera Started...
ME TO HER... Can we have some copies of the planning permission. Her.Yes I can send you a copy on Friday athough I would have surely shown you previously when you signed the compromis..(that is a promise to buy signature)a copy of the planning permission... Me. chase up and she sends me a copy of what is obviously planning application consent... HER TO ME. No that is the planning permission... so it went on and on... and I emailed the Notaire(Solicitor)...no answer so far. Well talk about duck and dive...today I questioned Her as have done a lot of reading up on the subject of planning and building on farmland... Now she is realising I know what I am talking about... to a certain degree) ...so she now puts on a different hat with POLITICIAN on it... she just sent me this... HER to ME I’m not sure I understood you, the document I sent to you is a Certificat d’Urbanisme which is a legal document delivered from the Mairie of the commune to state that the land in question is building land and can be built on. It is valid for 18 months and can be reapplied for in the even you which to build something in the future. Planning permission is different however, you need planning permission only if you are planning to build a house/garage/swimming pool etc on the land. As this purchase was not to do this, we did not apply for planning permission on house/garage etc, we would have put a suspensive clause in the contract if you wanted to build. If you would like to build something on the land in the future you would need to reapply for a CU and planning permission. I have CC the Notaire in this email and will call to explain the situation and ask them to contact you. Regards Chloe ME to HER Are you a Politician by any chance...You have already stated to us it has planning permission and now you saying it does NOT. This is turning into a soap opera and nobody thinks this is funny. WTF is going on with these so called experts.... The Estate Agent sent me this also earlier today.... Hi both, The paperwork i have sent you is the Planning Permission that has been accepted by the Mairie on the 19 of November 2019. The planning application was deposited on the 3rd of October 2019 by M Brothier. It states in Article 1: “Le terrain objet de la demande peut être utilisé pour la réalisation de l’opération envisagée » This means the planning application is accepted and the land can be built on. I hope this helps Regards Chloe so now she is saying otherwise....... If this is going to be a soap opera who wants a part, rates of pay for this... NUL... |
That feeling when you think your temper exploded which it did.. at the neighbours 4 hunting screeching barking growling snarling dogs and break out it a sweat like you have been out running a marathon..it's time to put one's mind to something else but was trying to make my garden look good...so here I am seem the crime quiz and no idea about anything around here as rarely hear a siren of any kind...the only noise to day is neighbours ucking dogs . VE Day and there is no noise, so guess no wreathe laying going on up the road at the Maire's Office. Was looking at the stats for crime and seems low which I expected. With area's like St. Denis a well known no go area near to Paris..Then saw a write up of the 5 places worth living in.. generalising.. so here is just a bit of a guide to my area which is on the list.... link .... 'please note'..Ruffec 5 mins away...Verteuill sur Charente is also near me by Ruffec basically...

nice try, FBI ;)
seriously though, you'll find out soon enough. Except about a few of our more enigmatic members, but in those cases nobody else knows either |
I think I've made it clear enough but if not, I am a gay man. Hope that helps :)
|
I’m coming out as a straight cis man. I went thru a million labels to understand that in tge end I’m the A in LGBTQIA+ which stands for ally
|
I think the A actually stands for asexual.
Edit: googled. Apparently it can stand for ally also. Which is weird to me and a little misleading. But ok. |

:bowdown:My first job in the mid 60's as a 15 year working near Carnaby Street,London's West End.. and seeing some Men dress as more panto than macho was a learning curve and never knew how to look at these people initially, they sure made a statement of some kind..Obviously with the new laws coming into force a short time down the line a lot of changes took place and most people no longer had to show their sexuality off so much and the whole issue of ones sexuality calmed down..Of course most of you will not have lived through the roaring 60's so maybe you just cant tune into my way of thinking so much.:wavey:

Too many letters any way you slice it. Chappelle has a point about that goofy ass acronym hogging half the English alphabet.
|
Did he really waste time on a special with that boring **** that's probably only funny to *******s?
|
Most annoying holiday songs ..this one in Spain you could not get away from...
do you know a 'worser one :wavey: |
Not too much time... Called them the alphabet people... I thought it was funny.
You don't think the ever growing acronym looks stupid? I'm part of the "community" and it makes me cringe tbh. Just add a + to lgbt if you wanna be inclusuve... You can't just keep adding letters for every nuanced sexual proclivity or distinction... thats silly to me |
I mean it's a bunch of letters. It's not the actual movement and the amount of letters representing inclusivity does not discredit any of that inclusivity unless you're a dumby who can't separate the literal letters from the concept they represent.
A cumbersome string of letters isn't really a solid basis for a joke unless the people behind those letters is what you're actually mocking. |
Nobody said it discredits the "movement" it's just something that an ordinary person adjusting to the changes in pop culture and society might find a little bizarre or even amusing.
At a certain point adding more letters starts to look goofy. Obliviously I support lgbt rights. I also support the rights of furries, objectum sexuals, etc. We don't need any more letters. The general spirit of sexual liberation is perfectly clear without individually identifying every niche subset of people in a single acronym. The fact you think such humor can only be fueled by some sort of hatred is warping your perception. I actually fall under one of the letters and I'm less sensitive about poking fun at it than you are. |
Lol long acronyms, those absolute gutbusters.
|
When the **** is like 20 letters long and then you're throwing in A for "allies"... Yeah I think it's kinda silly. Call me crazy.
|
But is it worth a professional joke from a professional jokesmith on a special (or where ever it was) with limited time unless you were trying to mine laughs from people willing to laugh at the people behind the acronym? I mean an unwieldy acronym isn't really that funny all by itself. It's the culture war behind it where the potential humor lies.
|
I agree it looks a bit silly and I don't mind anyone making good natured fun of it
those right wing 4chan kids thinking 'LGBTQLMNOP' is the height of comedy are unbearably cringy though. I've never seen a joke about it that's actually really funny |

Dunno why me liking Chappelles special still makes you so salty bruh it's been like 2 years
I find it funny and you don't. Can we let this beef die already or are you and bat going to buzz around me every time I mention Chappelle for the rest of eternity??? Happy mother's day, btw. |
I think you should let it go. I can't even laugh at a hilarious acronym with you without you bringing up that Chappelle special.

I did bring up the Chappelle bit cause it reminded me of it and right on schedule you and frownland popped up to remind me that you still don't approve/don't think it's funny.... As you have done every time either Chappelle, edgy comedy, etc gets brought up since the first little beef over the Chappelle special years ago. It's like a beacon at this point. I know where you stand and have known for 2 years now. I honestly don't know what "valid points" you think I'm avoiding or what more can possibly be said on the topic...
This entire detour should be moved to the RIP musicbanter thread lol |
Are you saying that Bat-ILoveNaziPunk-lord finds Dave Chappelle too edgy?
|
I forgive you for laughing at the bad man, jwb.

Thank you. That brings me closure.
Seriously though just from a tactical pov I think expanding the acronym endlessly is stupid, the comedian who shall not be named aside. |

Actually I pointed it out not to say I'm unimpeachable but that our perspectives differ in that you are an "ally" who ultimately isn't affected by any of the stereotypes associated where as I am. The only reason some of that **** makes me cringe is cause it's supposed to represent a group I'm a part of. Never once claimed or implied I was neutral, pal.

I thought I just made myself clear. I'm using it to convey to you I feel like I have some actual skin in the game. What's hard to understand about that?
