TFW a southern California winter storm is right around the corner (heavy winds and torrential rains) and you just know it's going to be murder getting the dogs to do their business outside in it. There's flood watches all over SD county.

Tomorrow is my favorite bosslady's last day in our store. She's transferring to another one. I'm going to miss her terribly. She took me under her wing and has absolutely adored me since day one. She's recognized my potential, praised my achievements, and always encouraged me to do the best I can (and better). She has more kindness, influence, and integrity than any other supervisor I'd ever had. She's an absolute badass.

...plus she kind of really looks like Pat Benatar, and I always thought that was extra charming.

She's also the one who gave Ki & I our wonderful baby kitty, Wembley. (She rescued the entire litter after they were abandoned by their mother as newborns.)

She hired me on the spot without knowing how desperate I was and how much it hurt to have almost a zero balance in my bank account for months on end before I landed this job.

She gave me a generous raise on my 1-year review.

She was sympathetic when every bit of skin on my hands was peeling off because of eczema.

She's just always really been there for me and I'm going to miss her a lot.

honestly the last time i opened this thread i read frownland's post and was like wtf.. i know i've heard that but i don't know where.
