I'm on the south side of Chicago, I can get to Indiana in about 5-10 minutes. It's a big state though, where you at? North, south, mid?

I lived in Friedburg, Hesse for a little over 2 years in the late 80's. Schöfferhofer Hefeweizen's and a good schnitzel were my favorite. We used to go down to the Bahnhof and buy hash from the turkish dudes.

Kind of mid-southern. I'm in Bloomington which is about an hour south of Indianapolis

I often go there.

In what city/region were you?
Frankfurt the first time, Berlin the second.

I designed one of my first fire training facilities for the Bloomington F.D., you've probably seen the big red building made from recycled shipping containers:

An early rendering of the CAD model:

You're a bit far (3.5 hrs down 65), but it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to meet half way if the situation ever presented itself, or if I ever considered a disc golf road trip to that area.

I have seen that building, that's cool as hell!

And we do have some nice courses here, naturally a college town attracts people of all kinds of interests so there's a big disc golf club and everything

Well, I'll be dipped. Road trip!

I'm gonna get a hold of my buddy Wiggles and make some half assed plans. Probably one of the weekends this month. Look for a PM from me in a few days.

I'll be on vacations most of this month so August would be better for me, but yeah it'd be pretty cool to work something out!

Never heard of it. I'm sure it's cozy.
I can only imagine how good the prices for stuff were back then. They went up so much in just the ten years I'm aware of.
BTW that red training facility you designed looks just like something I dreamt of not long ago. It's uncanny. It was white though.

Berlin is cool. Haven't really been to Frankfurt. I imagine it to be a hellish place populated with just bankers and junkies.
Although most of my friends are bankers and junkies so perhaps it's not that bad.
