Working all day and coming home to relax and sleep like I usually do on a daily basis.

I'll go to bars for drinks and stuff though, and I've been chatted up by guys at those places, even with my boyfriend right beside me.

But yeah, this year it's just going to be our night alone.

Since I used to go out alone most of the time. Bars are the worse place to go. Everyone always seemed paired up and in groups. Anytime I would try to strike up a conversation I would get interrupted by their mates. I rather go to clubs and raves. Easy to just go grab my drink and hit the dance floor.

That reminds me of a few months ago, when I was at a friend's party and was standing alone in the corner (didn't feel like mingling at that moment), and this guy came up to talk. He was clearly interested while I was trying to exaggerate my non-interest. I even told him I wasn't single. Then my boyfriend comes back with some drinks, and clearly puts his arm around me and says "Hey man, what's up?" The guy was visibly crushed, but he obviously didn't pick up on my signals.

Ugh, no. Sick.

Hehehe... you said hardon.

I've had many NYE's where I just spent a quiet night at home, especially when my daughter was very young and I can understand the not drinking thing and going to a Hockey game. Not a damn thing wrong with that at all. Now days I have quite a bit more freedom, and in order to do this NYE's celebration responsibly, we chose to have everyone come to us. That way I can get as buzzed as I want and don't have to worry about all the amateurs on the road. The only drawback is cleaning up after our guests when they finally leave in the morning.
