Riding a bicycle to the Library, 9AM on a beautiful Saturday off day, riding on the right hand side of the small street leading to my apartment only to be hit behind by an idiot with a SUV who clearly did not stop at the sign in his parking lot. He stopped and moved a little further up before he can hear my screaming, but at least that SUV stopped before it touched any part of my body.
Thankfully, all that was damaged was my bike along with scraping a knee pretty bad (it healed) while my leather jacket prevented my upper half from getting the same wreckage as my left knee. At least I got a new bike, but that day still remains in my memories as a reminder of how careless some people can get while driving (The idiot thought my lock was a part of my bike as well as he also threw that into the garbage!). I got hit by a double decker bus. The bus got a dent... I got a bruise on my elbow. I'm marking that one down as a win for me.
I've also hit/ been hit by a few cars, whilst cycling/ walking, and fallen off a rope-swing into a river. That latter wasn't a near-death experience for *me*, but it was absolutely fatal to my shoes. |

I swear I have told my story about this before but I was outside playing rocks with this kid(Yes that is a game, throwing rocks/pebbles at each other). Anyways, he decided to pick up bigger heavier rocks and toss them my way. I ran out into the street to avoid getting hit by a big rock coming my way and I didn't see a car fly around the corner. I closed my eyes and blacked out so I don't know what happened exactly. I got up off the ground with no bruises or anything so I don't think I was hit by the car but as I'm walking home. I notice a cool sensation at the top right side of my head. I put my hand up there to feel what was going on and my hand was bloody when I took a look at it.
When my grandmother got home from work she proceeded to beat me for leaving the house when I wasn't supposed to. She beat me while I was still bleeding then she cleaned it up and said that she wasn't taking me to get stitches. She wanted the scar to be a reminder that I shouldn't disobey her in the future. So to this day I have a bald spot that you can see more easily when my hair starts to grow out.
