My story is really going to make people dislike me but it was a valuable lesson I learned and I haven't done it since.

About three years ago my cousin had his 21st birthday. Myself and a friend took him to New York City to get smashed and smashed we got. The night included getting kicked out of bars, buying drugs we had no intent on doing, and vomiting on sidewalks and out of taxi cabs. Last thing I remember of that night was getting off the train in Hoboken around 4:30 in the morning.

I woke up in my bed. My car was on the front lawn. I called my cousin and he said that everybody was too drunk to drive but that I insisted on driving. I live about 20-30 minutes from Hoboken. I could have killed myself, the two in my car and anybody in my path.

I'm still ashamed of myself but like I said, I learned a valuable lesson.

What the **** man, I am appalled.
Why would you buy drugs that you didn't intend to use?

I've never done or had any intention of doing coke but that didn't stop me from purchasing a dimebag worth.

Had a few out of body experiences on psychedelics but whether people are really close to death in those moments, I don't know. Very, very strange though.

As kids, we set up this swing on a tree on a hill that swung out a good 30 feet over some huge boulders, it snapped when I was on it once, but luckily it snapped when I was swinging back over the hill. Had it snapped when I was swinging out I think I probably would have died.

As kids whilst on holiday in Egypt, my brother and I took out a little boat from a beach and rowed for miles into the busy port of Alexandria, we quickly realised we were in unsafe waters and rode as hard as we could to get away, but ended up rowing into an even busier part of the port. At one point we had a massive cargo ship coming straight for us but were too exhausted to escape. Thankfully a lifeguard boat came and pulled us to saftey with less than a minutes to spare. That was kinda funny, kinda scary. Pretty sure we would have been dead had the ship hit us.

In Israel, my then girlfriend who was Jewish and I went to Hebron. After a little while we noticed we were being followed by a few shady looking people, the people following us slowly grew in size and started throwing rocks at us and eventually chased us through the streets. By sheer luck while running for our lives we found a taxi which we jumped in and shouted "drive, just drive!". It felt like something out of a movie and was probably the most terrified I've been, they were full of hatred and it felt like they wanted to murder us, especially as an IDF soldier had been killed by an angry mob in the same city a few days earlier during the second intifada.

Again in Israel, a bomb went off in Old Jerusalem and, being young and stupid, I wanted to go to the bomb site and managed to convince my girlfriend we should go to the scene. We fought our way to the scene against hoardes of people all moving in the opposite direction, some in tears, and when we arrived it was all very quiet and very strange. We wandered around a bit and within a few minutes wandered straight into an angry mob of Palestinians. We turned around and started walking in the opposite direction, straight into a group of IDF soldiers. The next thing we know the two groups are attacking eachother, shots are firing out, stones are being thrown and we're smack bang in the middle of it, crawling around on the floor. Hairy scary.

I've almost drowned a few times when I was younger, I remember the first time being about 5 or 6 and thinking I still had my armbands on, so I jumped in the swimming pool. I remember vaguely thinking about death but I don't think I understood what it really was then but I knew something really bad was happening.

I drove my dirtbike off of a cliff when I was 17 and shattered my collarbone into pieces. I was inches from landing with my head pointed downwards. Would have broke my neck and I would have rather been dead then unable to walk.

Was surfing out at San Onofre about two years back. A 18 foot Tiger Shark swam up and took a chunk out of my board. If I would have been bitten two miles off shore i would have died certainly.

Was in a Mini Cooper that flipped three years back with a friend. Nobody was hurt. Other then that just adrenaline spikes of fear.

There have been quite a few incidents, but the one that really stands out for me was when I was 18 driving around with 3 friends near Kenosha WI after a big snow. I was in the passenger seat and we were at a 4-Way stop sign just pulling across the road when out of the corner of my eye I saw headlights coming right at us. I felt the hit and that was all I remember until I woke up about a minute later. We were up over a bank of snow and when I looked around I saw the car that hit us still spinning down the street. I looked to my left and saw the driver slumped over the steering wheel and checked for the two passengers in the back. There was only one. I got out of the car and could hear some moaning in the distance so I followed. I found my friend who had busted through the back window and was thrown about 50 ft with a head gash from his forehead to the back of his skull. I was so enraged I started running for the 2 drunk ****ers that hit us, but just as I was about to reach them the EMT's and police arrived and had to subdue me.

Pictures of the wreck showed the drivers side of the car we were in totally crushed, and the front passenger seat where I was sitting looked untouched. 2 drunk Navy Service men from GLNB (nearby) had T-Boned us doing about 50 mph. No one was killed, but all 3 of my friends were in critical condition. My Guardian Angel was with me that night.

^lol.

I *almost* got taken out by an ambulance while skateboarding once. I was going down a hill and heard it but thought it was going down a street behind me. Halfway across an intersection and it clipped the back part of my board, threw me back like ten feet and I slapped my head on the concrete. Hurt like a bitch but I was fine and managed to get back on my feet in a minute. I suppose if the ambulance did hit I might've had a pretty good chance but still, scared the hell outta me.

Well if you've gotta be hit by something...
