I feel that David Frost needs to be mentioned here. He was so much fun to wind up when I first joined here.

Back in 2004 when people not only listened to bands like Dashboard Confessional, Yellowcard , Hawthorne Heights and bands of that ilk but actually called them their favourite bands, as soon as some kid would join up and say they liked these bands he would go into the thread and say stuff like 'WORST THREAD EVER'. Sometimes up to 10 times a day. He would then go on to list a bunch of acceptable bands which usually consisted of 'Real Emo' bands or dull post rock or drone bands. When he started threads on these bands and people would say they didn't like them he'd have another hissy fit & start banging on about 'real emo' again.

What made this even funnier was that he posted a picture of himself playing with his band and he looked exactly like the comic book guy from the Simpsons. A big guy with a Pony tail, goatee, band t shirt and shorts.

I believe he was also in the first batch of people to be modded and one day he made a comment about the amount of spam here or something, so I replied to him that he was a mod so why didn't he do something about it, to which he told me that he wasn't moderated to do work, he was modded because of his superior taste in music.

I also seem to remember him calling me an idiot because I didn't think Joy Division were a goth/darkwave band.

at the community college I've met three comic book guys, and they all accepted the nickname as if it was something they strived for.

I never had too much interaction with that guy because he was always in the emo forums (and I never was) and I didn't find the "New Posts" button for 3 years.

I'm shocked you didn't list any women, Urban.

Nope, serious.

And I would see all these posters write in all these forums, and I thought they were just manually going in and cruising those forums, so I'd go into forums I hated (then) and just scroll through trying to be more open-minded.

The downside to being here for awhile is you have proof of what a moron you were.
