I hope not, otherwise what will I do with all my skirts and dresses? ;)

Re: Ramones. I've heard a few tracks, and what I've heard is okay. People should know that when I say I don't like a particular genre I don't mean I know or hate every single artiste in that genre. I just mean that it's not one I listen to out of choice or preference. "Jilted John" is a hilarious song. "God save the queen" is not, in my opinion. But nothing's absolute. Hell, I might even end up listening to some grindcore or, even more unlikely, jazz one of these days! Who knows?

I usually cite Punk as my favourite genre and I can't stand The Ramones. There's stuff out there with a lot more depth. What do you think of The Clash? Or Television? Or every single Post-Punk band?

Blah **** the depth. The greatest thing about The Ramones is just the pure simplicity, but maybe they are not everyone's cup of tea. Also Ramones were pretty much like a pop group, they never really have that punk attitude, whatever it is. If their songs weren't played on a way they did they would have been a bubblegum band. Dunno. But their sound was the thing.
But yes, you can't like everything I just mentioned Ramones because you said they punk has no melodies. Whatever. Also it seems like if I really love some band then I rant about them in every possible thread...sorry for that:)

Why would you ask him this? He doesn't like it and more importantly doesn't want to like it. Don't question the 2013 MB member of the year. Your questions are beneath him.

You're right. His word is gospel. The Ramones are my favourite band.

Trollheart, give Pop-Punk a try. Some of it is ghastly (Blink182) but some is excellent, has melody and isn't too angry most of the time (one song on my favorite Pop Punk album is openly angry, but not in a hateful way). Some of the better bands in this genre would be All and the related Descendents

A cut from my favorite Pop Punk album

I don't like angry music too much, but if there's one or two angry songs on,a album, what's wrong with it? I bet our beloved Trollheart also feels angry sometimes?
