These are pretty funny when you've actually been keeping up with some of the quoted members here. Waiting on Batlords intro. Thats gotta be a gut buster.

Really. I'm serious. A bar. Of chocolate.

And not cheap chocolate either. Good Swiss or Belgian, your choice.

I found some early posts from you but not the elusive first post and you also never made an introduction post.

Yeah that's what I said. I don't think I ever made one.

I think the thing to bear in mind is that when I came here first I dived right into the journals and buried myself there, not even emerging till months later to realise there even was more to the forum. So by then, I had already become relatively well-known and had had conversations with a few people, hence I never felt the need to make an intro thread, I believe.

Also, I can't wait to see The Batlord's intro....

I figured that. I went looking in the Journals for your first posts but they weren't there.

Probably got moved/deleted when Big3 was messing with the Journal area.

Wow. I really haven't changed that much since I joined this place 4 and a half years ago. I had just turned 19 and was bored when I joined. I actually looked up "music forum" on Google, in hopes of finding other young classical musicians to connect with. Instead I found this place! Later on I found the Talk Classical forums, though. It's more hostile there because its full of pretentious yuppies and middle aged experienced musicians who think they know everything about playing intruments and listening to music.

OK. If you're looking for my 2008 posts you won't find them. I think I related before the story of how I started a journal, got pissed off with smart comments in it, depressed that nobody really seemed to like my music or really comment without being snide, left, rejoined in 2011 after being made redundant/taking voluntary redundancy (hence the "resurrected" part in the title of my main journal) and by then the original journal had vanished never to be seen again. Too old I guess. I asked Jansz if he had a copy but he couldn't find it, something about someone accidentally erasing a load of logs?

So basically my first ever post in Trollheart Mark II if you like is post 1 in The Playlist of Life.

Aren't you glad now you know all that?

There are a few guitar oriented forums I'm on that have that same element. I go there for some good laughs though.

Some of these intros bring back some memories.
jackhammers in particular. Although I don't think he made the one shown until long after he'd joined.

Not many people (if any) will remember this about Lee, but he first joined under another username. Mushy/mushy if I recall correctly? Some of the mods can check that out?
I hope he doesn't mind me bringing this up, but he had a rough ride under that name from several members, not long after he joined.
So much so, he quit the forum in disgust.
A couple of emails later (not one for letting a good potential member go easily) I managed to convince him to return, or at least convince him it wasn't a bad place after all?

The rest is history.
