Go and party with them. They'll probably have weed. Smoke their shit and then when it's your turn tell them that your contact is out or you had to spend all your money on a new carburetor/bike chain and you'll get them next time. You swear.

I'm afraid this is going to be another episode of Carrie.

I was cool once (seems impossible, I know, but I kid you not ). I had the chicks, did the parties, the clubbing, the drugs, I was there at the scene, had many friends. Looking back brings tears to my eyes (not really, but it makes the story better ). But over the years the wind changed and I slowly drifted across that shifting line into uncool (it ain't signposted but you know it when you get there). And looking around, I noticed the landscape was pretty much the same. The only difference was I felt happier, a little more content. Now when I see the cool people in cool land doing cool things, it all looks rather silly.

Moral of the story? I don't think there is one.

Moral of the story? Cool isn't fun. I don't believe you.

Being cool isn't as fun if you have to work hard to be cool

You don't believe I was once cool? Haha. Good. That's a string in my bow! I thank you, sir. The stink of cool is finally washed out. There ain't no trace.

The last place I'd come looking for advice on how to improve my social stature would be this forum of reclusive nerds. Nobody here knows the first thing about being 'cool'
