The "Snog Shag Marry or Avoid...(NSFW)" thread is gone

I just deleted it, whole 3700 or so posts. With great regret, but with a very valid reason.
It's not the first time this has happened, but it only proves it won't stop. We've been contacted by google about it, they told us that the contents of that thread didn't match their adsense rules and that if it's not gone within 72 hours, google ads - the sole source of income this site has, will be turned off.
Google, while they're doing a lot of things right, in some areas ... well, who am I to criticize, I guess. They have the right to set their rules and enforce them.
Now whether I agree with this or not is irrelevant as the facts are brutal: either the thread would go or the whole site would. We had only general complaints about it from them before, this time they were specific and went back a couple of years, this problem would not go away and would only escalate.
That's why, with a heavy heart, I had to delete it.
Having said all that: if a new thread like that appeared but only contained fully clothed women, I really don't think anyone out there in google hq would mind.
