So, I reiterate: Bring water to a boil in a KETTLE! Pour that water into an iron or clay pot from the f-ucking FAR EAST! Drink it from iron or clay teacups that DON'T have f-uking handles, you fairies! And ALWAYS resteep your teas. Don't you dare throw it out without resteeping! And enjoy.
I prefer my clay pots from the middle east. My cups gotta have handles also. No time for re-steeping either

btw I'm not agreeing with LL, just while on the subject... when I have Chinese take-out food sometimes they provide tea with the order, I like to drink my tea in handle-less cup. It gives me a more authentic experience of drinking Chinese tea with Chinese-style cup. Though I don't know what I use is a handle-less tea cup or a small dessert bowl.

Hmph. An odd thing for an Anglophile to say.

Yeah ending it with "what a bunch of weirdos" sounds soo American. I think "what a bunch of daft muppets" would sounded more Anglophilish.

The more I read of your posts, the more I'm convinced you're a displaced Brit stuck in the land heathens.

AS for tea drinking here it's a national obsession and dependency, much like you guys with Ketchup. This country would literally come to a standstill if the average British worker didn't get through several cups a day.

For such an important activity its preparation is so simple and uniformed here. Water is just boiled and poured into a mug with a quality teabag, stirred and left to flavour and then taken out, before a small amount of cold milk is added and stirred in. Sugar is then added or not depending on how somebody takes it. In fact the whole process is a lot more straightforward than applying ketchup to your burger and chips, as half the time you're left scratching your head on whether to put more ketchup on the burger or the chips.

Lol why would you go Ketchup instead of coffee since we are talking hot beverages and most Americans are obsessed with their coffee that's why there are so many Starbucks around that are constantly making money. I've never heard of Americans being obsessed with ketchup.

Silly me, I forgot that there was a drink called coffee.

I was also thinking of having burgers today for dinner, so I may have got a bit carried away there.
