I will explain that I've never once seen anyone just pour hot tapwater in a teacup with a teabag in it, unless the next step was to put the cup in a microwave. I do see people pour the PIPING hot water from the spigots at Starbucks but those are CONSIDERABLY hotter than what comes out of a tap.
Having said all that, I'm a coffee drinker. I very rarely drink tea. HOWEVER.....Like tea, coffee is primarily water. Therefore it must be a crime to put milk in coffee. |
