Default Why So Quiet MB?

I feel like 2-3 months ago this place was popping with post action, but these days it seem so quiet. I've noticed quite a few new members from this year are gone. The music section has picked up the pace thanks to the community commitment but even then its been busier. Are people getting bored? Or am I imagining things. It's not necessarily a bad thing but I do enjoy it when lots of big conversations that numerous people getting involved in.

I think you are imagining things. Also summer is winding down and people are starting up school and college again so it might be a bit slower but MB goes through cycles. This isn't anything new really.

I thought that people post more during the week during study or work. I'm pretty sure its quiet in terms of member numbers.

Real life pops up and maybe they are just pretty busy lately. I don't know. I just don't see it as that big of a deal and it will pick back up.

She's not imagining things. I've thought the same Jess. I've been watching less and less posts and less and less threads being posted in, not to mention that the journals section has hardly been touched in the last week. My journal entries are taking 2-3 days to be approved. It's as if some terrible catastrophe has wiped out half the members here. You're definitely not alone in your belief. You only have to look at how few bolded threads there are, even today. I'm sure there's a reason for it but it's absolutely not in your head.

In three years here I have never seen it this consistently quiet. It all came to a head in the "sopsych" thread and then in the Mixtape one, but now it's tumbleweeds. Not sure why but nobody seems to be talking, unless they're all in threads I'm not reading. Even the lounge is dead.

Hell I've noticed huge delays in journal threads being approved, so maybe some of the mods have gone back to school as well

Yeah I've been spending considerable amounts of time trying to sort out my damn class schedule. Ahhh real life. I have one so I'm assuming everyone else does too, lol.

The reason I said she's imagining things is because she's talking about a few months ago versus a slow period that's only started like two weeks ago. It's not that bad.

Also, it makes sense that traffic around these parts would slow down with people starting up school/college.

I saw we should count our blessings, because the alternative seems to be people scrapping with one another.

Exactly. Mixtape started out huge with tons of people (over 22) now its down to 4 people that contribute. It really makes it pretty unrewarding to put any real effort into the website. Like Trollhearts Journals and ****, he puts lots of work into that and people post 10x more in the DAT ASS thread.

If this doesnt pick up I am going to off myself, and you will all be to blame.
