I used to post a lot more on my other username, but I got pretty bored with this place. I ended up just talking to people from the forum on aim or something, now I don't even do that. I already voiced my opinion on my favorite artists in threads, and I've made plenty of threads that have gotten no attention, so I don't really feel a connection to this place in a music sense anymore. I used to get all of my recommendations from MB, being exposed to the glorious Sun City Girls, MBV, and TFLU282 on this site, and I don't get that same sort of feeling of discovery. It feels like I'm looking for excuses to even post here anymore, hence my still in progress journal I've yet to finish. Maybe it's just my lack of overall motivation in general, but I feel almost burdened to post anything.

Honestly, I'm too busy having the time of my life making rewarding, fulfilling relationships with others and living my dream, traveling around rural areas of Nicaragua, reading good books, and eating delicious food (or at least food so terrible it makes for a good story).
I've literally come to this site once in the last... however long it's been to post a single picture of myself traveling down by riverboat to reach a small island off the Atlantic coast where I spent a weekend hanging with the locals and enjoying the Caribbean atmosphere. Basically, as fun as this site is and everything, it's just not that important to my long-term life, and is pretty much at the bottom of my importance list. I hope I'm not coming off as overly harsh, because I don't mean to be, I'm just trying to be realistic... most everyone here has some sort of life outside this, and really, this is just a diversion for most of us. It's really not shocking that it's slowed down, considering it's the start of the school year (for many of us, anyway). It'll pick back up again when users have more free time, as it always does. No need to think too hard about it. All that said, I hope everyone is doing well, and I'm sure I'll be seeing ya'll... eventually.

People make time for what is important to them at that time in their life. I think MB has gone down somewhat recently for me, but that doesn't mean I am gonna stop posting regularly just because I have a job or whatever else.

I've cut back dramatically on MB because I got a new job that doesn't bore me to death every damn day! I started as a video game content editor three weeks ago. Now I barely have time to check my personal e-mail address, let alone MB! Maybe after a few months I'll be back full force.
The best part is that instead of eating a sandwich at my desk every day (trolling the internet), my cool Turkish colleagues invite me out for lunch* and we actually hang out. My British/Australian/American colleagues at the last job were so goddamn antisocial I just ate grocery store food by myself every day. *paid for by my new company So I'm still checking MB from time to time, but note that the reason I joined was to kill time at my old job. |

MB is quiet because there's an iron grip on fun. Or anything resembling fun. Stop locking threads and banning people who get into heated conversations. The circulation's been cut-off.

lol I have lost many of posts due to "spamming" or off topic. The end result being the thread goes nowhere anyways.

No, you're all wrong.
MB is slow because noone can keep up with me (like a boss). They see me rollin, and they be h8tin, and then they figure why even try.
