Yeah I know what you mean, but even so, I have no life and am always here and I have not seen in this consistently quiet in years. Even over Christmas, with people away and doing other things there was activity. It's just dead now. I know people are going back to school/college/lives and that, but that happens every year. It wasn't like this last year, nor the one before. And as I say, nothing is happening in the Journals section: look at my update (such as it is) when it gets approved. It's totally quiet.

So yeah, it may not be as busy as 2-3 months before as the lady said, but it has been a lot busier than this in previous months/years. It's a definite pattern and I'm not sure why it's happening. It's not like anything is happening this year that doesn't every year. Just odd. I know everyone else's life doesn't revolve around Vanilla, sorry, Music Banter like mine does, but there's been an awful slowdown all over.

Hopefully it'll pick up soon: I can only play so much computer solitaire, you know!

I just approved journal entries that were not even 24 hours old. Maybe that's not soon enough though. 24 hrs =/= 2-3 days.

I'm not having a go at you or any other mod, BD. But my last entry for "The Couch Potato" took three days to materialise. It's probably an isolated incident. But then, the update post I did last night was not here up to ... let me just go check ...

As I say, not getting at anyone and I know everyone's busy, but I thought (and I'm probably wrong) that the reason the journal section was so quiet might have been that there was a bottleneck of backlogged entries. Guess not.

Once again, please don't take my comment as personal Melanie: I always feel like I rub you up the wrong way most times, I don't know why. I know you're doing a great job and so are the other mods, and I appreciate it. It wasn't meant to be a criticism, just an observation.

(Cut to next week, as Trollheart wonders why today's posts have not yet been approved in his journal....) Never argue with a woman holding a knife or a mod with an editing pen....

To be honest I kinda got bored with that thread after the second week. All I was hearing was hipster/indie stuff that I had almost no interest in. I'm not opposed to listening to different stuff, but a lot of the songs from that thread seemed to be targeted toward only one demographic.
