NEVER buy a woman a drink!

I do not think that women feel they are inherently entitled to anything like men seem to think. I think it's more a matter of men believing that they are and so they bend over backwards for a woman because they think it's the only way to impress her and possibly score.

Theres the other side of the coin also. Some guys are just inherently nice and like to cater to the women they date. I've always been that way, I buy them drinks because i'm courteous not because I want to get in their panties. I think the dating public has really changed over the years. Guys seem to be the ones expecting stuff nowadays and I find it kind of repulsive in general.

It goes both ways though. Guys are expecting things based off of what women expect. Just like the whole 3 date rule.

If you think about it all dating is pretty much prostitution it's just that you have to pay for around 3 dates or so or depending on the girl it might be longer/shorter amount of time but you don't get to see the goods before paying like with prostitution unless she dresses provocatively.

It doesn't go both ways. I go out on a date to get to know somebody. I expect nothing but a thank you at the end of the night. I have no idea what the 3 date rule is. Is that where your inner caveman comes out and you drag the girl back to your room by her hair? :ar_15s:

Dating culture in America is weird.

Fred, I think what's being discussed here is going out on your own & buying a girl a drink as an icebreaker in the hopes of getting some at the end of the night out, rather that going out *with* a girl on a date.

I not only never buy a girl a drink, I don't even buy *myself* a drink. And I absolutely never go out, except once in a while with my lady friend for dinner and/or a movie and/or a hockey game and/or so on...

I guess I look at it as one and the same. If you're out in public and buy a girl a drink its usually because you're already talking to them in some fashion. I wouldn't randomly walk up to a girl in a bar with a drink in hand for her.

Hockey? I thought you were in seattle are you watching the Thunderbirds?

I think it would be a horrible choice in that instant then. Half the girls I know would think some random guy spiked a drink.

You don't hand the girl the drink, you buy it for them right then and there.
