But I think why people tend to not legitimise "young" love is because many older people look back on their teenage years and when they thought they were in love and realise that they weren't, and that is was pretty stupid. Not always the case of course, but sometimes you grow up and think - wow, no, that was not love at all!

Agreed. I was 100% sure I was in love with my first girlfriend. Turns out years later I realize I was just in love with the idea that a humanoid female would spend time with me and let me touch her privates, then consider us together.

On the other hand, my brother and sister-in-law have been a couple since they were sixteen. They're both turning forty-four this year and still as in love as ever.

That's so lovely! Love can definitely blossom in the teenage years, there is no doubt about that! :) I love hearing stories like that.

Mine too, except it's my sister and brother-in-law; he's turning 60 this year and she's just over 50. They have five wondreful kids who are a credit to them, one of which has her own two children too. Sometimes, love is just meant to be.

Not for me, or course... :( (Why is there no crying avatar? WAAHHH! Nobody loves me!) ....

Aww thanks guys! Though if I have to choose ... let's see ... ippy dippy my space shippy .... nah there's no contest is there? ;)

Thanks for the support, though I fear I'm a little old to be giving anyone any babies at this stage in my life. God: could the world handle another me? My sis wakes up at night sometimes screaming at the thought!

My dads parents celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary. My grandmother has been in the hospital and my grandpa has Alzheimer's, he can't even remember going to the hospital to see her. However, when he saw her he said "happy 71 years of marriage" and went on to talk about what it was like when they were younger. And yet he can't even remember what he said 5 minutes ago at any given time. Now THAT is love.

Oh. Wow. Yeah. Hmm, this is awkward. See, Paul, it's not that you're not a great guy and all, but look at Jessica.... you understand, don't you? Hey, stop crying! You're making me feel bad! :shycouch:
