In response to the OP: I've been friends with the woman who is now my wife for sixteen years, and had a crush on her since the first time we met. I've been in a relationship with her for nine years. Been married to her for six. We've been through a lot of things together, including two extended periods of our relationship being long distance, and she remains the love of my life. That is all.

If you dont mind sharing how did that happen? Did you just kind of know each other for those 7 years or were you still good friends or something?

I ask because anytime people have been together for a long period of time it inspires me, and you have always seemed like a cool guy.

Love is a rare thing for me. I haven't found my one and only. Hopefully in the future.

Having a crush isn't as realistic but hey, atleast I know that love conquers all.
