Default Sleep and Dreams

I've been fascinated with the mechanics of dreaming for years, through study and experience. But everyone I know thinks I'm crazy when I talk about dream occurrences I've had, or try to explain something that happened to them in a dream. I once told someone about a level 3 dream I had and they were like "wtf bra."
Is anyone else interested about this kind of stuff? Or knowledgeable? I know the most about sleep, from hypnagogia to hypnapompa, out of everyone I know. Whenever any of my friends have something crazy that they can't explain happen to them while on the way to sleep, they come to me. I find the most intense experiences to happen before one is even asleep, on the border between awake and asleep, that's called a hypnagogic state. All kinds of things going on.

And if anyone else has questions, I could probably answer them.
