Yeah, that pretty much sounds like my goal in life. Assuming I don't ever grow up and start participating like deej said it probably will become a reality.

How do you feel about mimosas?

Never had one. But if it has booze and I can drink it while staring at the sunset while laying in a hammock on the beach then I'm in.

Democrat. I'm a proud left-wing liberal! That said, contrary to popular belief, NOT all Democrats are truly PROGRESSIVE. I call them CORPORATE Democrats, who are equally as delusional and out of touch with the common American as their Republican colleagues. Call it what it is. Enough said. ( ... ).

The American left is generally still pretty right wing by the rest of the world's standards, just look at what we're struggling to get accomplished in this country. Social programs, universal healthcare, increasing minimum wage to a livable standard — it's an uphill battle trying to catch up with the rest of the developed world. A lot of Democratic politicians are in the pocket of big business, as well.

Still a proud Democrat, though I have my reservations with a few things.

I guess I'm a market socialist, but functionally it doesn't matter because we probably aren't going to get to a place in my lifetime where a socialist can run and have a chance at a major office in America (and I can't vote for another four years anyway). So basically I'm a down-the-line leftwinger.

I'm not a fan of either party but in a close race I'd usually vote for the Democrat.

socialism is like a dirty word in this country. it is strange because most normal americans i've met favor the few socialist vestiges we have leftover from the fdr era - medicare, medicaid, social security. but ideologically they have been trained to resist any sign of encroaching socialism.
