Positivity Thread

I was initially inspired to make this thread because ladyislingering and I were talking about how we watch cartoons to de-stress, and at the same time, I was sending my best friend my favorite website that helps me calm anxiety and put positive thoughts into my head.

I want this thread to have YOUR ways of de-stressing.
Lists are fine, but I mostly want obtainable ideas, such as websites and pictures and gifs that just generally are happy, positive, and lift your spirits.

I think that it would be amazing if people who were feeling down or negative on the site could come here and look at things that will make them feel better!

Here's something that ALWAYS helps me:

Cute Roulette: Cutest videos on the web

It's a website with countless videos of cute animals doing cute things!
What are some of your favorite positive, funny, or cute videos? Embed them here!

Share now! :]

Here are some ideas that members have mentioned!
  • Mediation
  • Running
  • Listening to your favorite music
  • Talking to loved ones

I'm sure most people have seen this before, but man it's impossible for me to be in bad mood after I watch this a few times.

There's a few things I will do to de-stress from the real world:

-I follow a few people on Youtube who post videos of gameplay/commentaries, and I enjoy watching them. It's also a great way to spend my days off when I am by myself.

-(obvious answer) Listen to music. I honestly can't think of a lot of other things that would satisfy my need to relax. Especially when I get into the depths of amazing post-rock.

-Talk to my cat. No i'm not crazy.

-Talk to myself. Seriously, i'm not crazy. Sometimes it's nice to have a conversation with yourself about something good that happened. It's always nice to be reminded of something that was awesome in the only way that you can remember it, by talking to yourself.

It may seem ridiculous to you, but a lot of people talk to themselves and I do as well!

The thing that cheers me up is chocolate, x-files, the movie Legally Blonde, and talking to my mom! But that's probably not helpful for everyone but I'm sure these lovely people will offer suggestions.

Talking to yourself is simply part of the human thought process and is completely normal.

Arguing with yourself....not so much

I have definitely argued with myself, maybe I'm the crazy one!
