That's bullcrap. I paint my nails black and have no tattoos or piercings (other than my ears and bellybutton which you can't see). So suddenly I don't fit into your ideals of what goes with a particular look? Sorry to disappoint you but people have the right to dress, wear make-up and paint their nails any colours and styles that they want.

The only pet hate I have in regards to style is when girls wear clothes that clash ridiculously, but even then if that's what they want to look like it's their decision and I'm happy for them.

I think he means just guys that paint their nails black. I'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt and say he's in the know about women of all types doing black nails, but the type of dude who wears black nail polish is always the type with ****ty flame tattoos & gross little chin beards

Yeah I know he meant only guys. The fact is, it's nobodies business what the OP wears. I say have your own personality and confidence to dress in your style and paint your nails any colour.

So what I have gotten from this thread, is that the women I have talked to who think it's a turnoff to paint your fingernails black, are probably being silly.
