Yeah I understand that. Obviously from a historical point of view it would have been better had I lived in Belfast (though I'm glad I didn't!) but even so, as I said we were only a short distance from the whole thing, and it did play out almost every day on the news. I take your point but I don't accept that it "doesn't count": it certainly counted for a huge part of my life, even if only experienced second-hand.

As a matter of interest, did you have any personal investment in any of the bombings, as in, did you know anyone who got hurt/seen any/visited sites etc?
