After barely dragging myself out of bed this morning and feeling too exhausted to get myself out the door, I read the news about Margaret Thatcher and felt like I could take on the world with my gladness.

I'm only 23, but I'm almost always affected by the suffering of others (and I have a close friend who's twice my age and incredibly informative over the matter, having experienced the reign and aftermath of Thatcher for himself). I hope that's relevant.

Put yourself in her position. Half the country hates you, the national papers either love you or hate you depending on what day, there's rebellion in Ireland and the country is in bankruptcy. Now I'm not necessarily a supporter of Thatcher, but how many of you will be able to stand up against the whole country and take the reigns? Not many. Yes, she closed down the mines and caused terrible unemployment, but if she hadn't have done that then we would have slid into hyperinflation like Germany at the end of the first world war.

Indeed, she was. And now be honest don't you think she was kinda hot too when she was PM? I mean she was like the first lady prime minister of Courgarville, right?

Sorry but we hurt about these things. You don't rebel against someone who has no control over you. I'll go and have a nice lie down now... Edit: jsut read the rest of your post. So it was also ok for Hitler to do what he did, otherwise Germany would have just died as a world power? Jesus man: the way you justify things is almost comical!
