this thread is about internet hookups, whether they are long term or short term

i myself once hooked up with a girl (in the PSN of all places)
our intention wasn't to officially hook up, it was just to meet but we ended hooking up lol

After that we kinda cyber dated for awhile or wthvr but eventually moved on (Cause even though she was local she lived far away)

Now i know alotta ppl are very cynical about internet dating and even look down on it

i personally don't, ive seen it work
2 of my friends met their wives like that and are now happy living with them

on a personal note, right now i have a GF

well we're not official, but i don't wanna call her a f*ck buddy cause we are more than that but we are not quite BF and GF

but i also know a girl over the internet that im REALLY close to
now the thing is, my girl over the internet really GETS ME, i think personality wise we fit perfectly

My real life girl is not as compatible with me as her (But she's HERE)

Being far away I imagine gives the relationship something of a mythical quality. Your real life girl friend/ buddy has the disadvantage of being part of reality.

So wait, you have a real life girlfriend but you also have an online LDR of sorts with another girl? That's my only issue with online relationships, you can't really confirm exclusivity either way.

yea, i won't lie, im not the best guy in the world

But me and my online girl came to an agreement that we could sleep with other ppl

it's a flingy arrangement, we don't announce to each other that we've slept with someone else (Cause it hurts ya know?)

So we don't ask each other that we focus on US instead

im constantly afraid she's gonna fall for some guy there but i don't OWN her

i trust that when she says she wants to be with me she meants it because that's what she wants, i can't force loyalty or expect it when i sleep around as well

but there are days when my conscience gets to me and i think

"F*ck what am i doing?"

cause ive developed an affection for the girl here and that kinda splits my heart in 2

But I'm assuming you don't have the same arrangement with your real life GF? How would she feel about it? You need to pick one and it won't be easy, for anyone.

I met my boyfriend in real life, in a class. We didn't start going out right away though, I had just commented on his accent because I was interested in meeting international students in my program.

but with her i don't get a guilty conscience cause she and i have never established an official commitment

i honestly don't know what the hell we are, we care for each other and all but i don't feel it's gonna last..

Then you're just stringing her along. Let her know about how you don't have strong feelings for her before it's too late. Just break it off. If you never had the commitment talk with her, I can also assume you never had a talk where you established that you were just FWBs or that you are in some kind of open relationship. So really, you're going behind her back and talking to other girls. Neither relationship is going to last if you're not honest with anybody, least of all yourself.
