Do you mean (sorry to use a very mainstream title) something like Greenday's American Idiot.

^ Yeah, alot along those lines. I wasn't thinking that specificly, but it just seems like there are a ton of bands out there that turned "political" when the election rolled around. If you want to be that way, don't just change overnight. It gives them very little credibility in my mind.

Well, I think there's nothing wrong with that, if they're able justify their criticism. I mean if they have a real political statement to tell. But I got the impression that every dump fool tries to say something bout the newest political events, without even knowing what he's talking bout. Like "Oh, I'm against Bush, too!", cuz all the others said that before, but they dunno why, they dunno a s***!

It's an old trend, a very old one, but still it gets hauled out every single time something gains popularity.

It is: THE BANDWAGON TREND!

Day 1
Me: "New Kids On The Block"
Everyone around me: "EEEEK!" "THEY'RE SO HOT!" *Swoon* "Oh, man they're cool!" "I wanna marry all of them!" Etc. Etc. Etc.

Day 2
Me: "New Kids On The Block"
Responce 1: "UGH!"
Responce 2: "Who?"

Day 3
Me: "N'Sync"
Everyone around me: "EEEEK!" "THEY'RE SO HOT!" *Swoon* "Oh, man they're cool!" "I wanna marry all of them!" Etc. Etc. Etc.

You get the picture.

it seems to be one of two things: 1. people won't give to charity unless they get something they can show off with....person1(usually a celebrity) :"ooooo!! look at me i give money to charity and i made it popular!! i'm great look at how great i am!!"
person 2 (average human being): "i do that anyway i just don't show off you modest dichface!!"

i especially hate the one where rappers pretend to have a huge, and i mean HUGE, fight and decide to make up and give away money!! where? you might ask...ON TELEVISION OF COURSE!!

thank you! guys they do not make you look all sensitive and we do not think that you're so secure with your sexuality that you can wear pink!!

[QUOTE=ArtistInTheAmbulanceI prefer that to all the velour tracksuits I see around now. But then, I prefer almost anything to that.[/QUOTE] having the word sexy ass written on your ass does not automatically make us think your ass is sexy, it just makes us notice more and more why you shouldn't be wearing those pants!! although i must say tracksuits are awfully comfy and i like wearing the cotton ones at home

another trend that i hate is right here in stockholm.the rich boy over-tanned snob:
they only wear brand names, are always overly tanned and this is not because they've been out of the country and did it by mistake, no because even though they can afford travelling every five minutes they choose to overdo it.They always wear jeans with suit jackets and pink shirts with the collar up!!!*shiver* Definately a tourist attraction when visiting Stockholm(they have grown in numbers since i arrived).

***this is a very long and angry post that is only to be read if you do not easily get tired of hearing some random person's obvious elaborated opinions

when people do stupid crap for attention. for example, saturday night me and my cousins are at broadway on the beach and this chick had her car break down. now she was perfectly fine until all the guys started coming over to her asking her whats wrong seeing if they could try to make her "feel better". then she was making a scene. crying hysterically. that pisses me off. another thing that people do for attention that pisses me off is (let the flaming begin) self injury. thats jsut plain ridiculous.

Thats pretty good. I think I would laugh if I saw that. I don't think I would feel sorry, at least not when she started crying histericly. Some people are just too over-dramatic.

^ Actually, denpending on what it was, I probably wouldn't have. Some peoples dressing just disgusts me. If the current trend keeps going, everyone will be naked soon! And since you said that people basicly swarmed over, there would have been plenty of help, thereby eliminating the need for my car fixing expertise...
