I still like it here though. Being introduced to great music in the genre subforums makes it worthwhile.
Well that's because you have said some strange opinions.

I have found though, you can make friends with others when you offer them respect and kindness.

I wouldn't consider refusing to condemn all flashers as rapists strange, it's but a realisation of the limits of my knowledge. But, you know, I find the vast, vast majority of peoples opinions strange but I don't judge them unkindly or think any less of them. At the end of the day intolerance is a symptom of fear and insecurity. It's always those most unsure of the validity of the rules they live their life by who insist everyone must play by the same rules.

Not every day and for about 15 mins when I do log-in and yeah, I've noticed it's a bit cliquey here.

Cliques were always there in every forum I've been to. Usually for members who have been there for a long time, the entire community ends up developing a way of speaking with one another. Some members just fit right in it. I've only ever been in one forum clique. Friends here are really just a bonus for me.

I don't see the clique thing happening around the music forum much, mostly the lounge.

Ahhh but that's because there isn't as much activity around the music part. There used to be times where it would be clique-like behavoir going on in the music side. All the hardcore people really stuck together, the prog group, metal heads and so on and so forth.

Sometimes you wouldn't even notice how active a member was if you didn't go into certain forums.

We should start our own clique, Grogsy, so exclusive that it's just you and I. Think about it. We'll laugh at others without them knowing, communicate in a way that only we understand, we could become complete areholes. Imagine it!

Your Dalai Lama avatar is the only reason I need to put this plan into action.
