As for the OP, well I do know someone who was born a male and it does not bother me (nor should it bother anyone), and she's super nice and writes great music for flute and piano, but I wouldn't date her simply because I'm not into girls.

Take it from me, don't let your parents judgement control you. They can think whatever they want, but if you let it effect you, you're going to be miserable. You need to feel comfortable living your life the way you choose, not the way your parents choose.

I can't let them control my life forever..They do however love my girlfriend and accept her for the way she is. My mom and her have a great relationship and hang out all the time.
