I'm a strongly devoted believer in Jesus Christ. The term "Christian" is thrown around way too much these days. I don't really know if it even identifies with Christ's teachings anymore, but I'm not gonna start preaching...

Im a protestant christian - some times stronger than others depends how i feel but i always have faith. I have grown up with 2 grandparents, a strong catholic who married a protestant and changed for love (wipes a tear). And have always learnt never to question others' faith as I would not like mine done so. Despite what many people think nowadays - somebodies religious belief(s) cannot be questioned.

but there in lies your problem (okay bad way of putting it, but it is true) Jesus himself gave his followers a commandment to preach. it is our duty and privledge to do so as he did when he walked the earth.

Well, you are only partly correct. He told them to go to the world as a witness, which is alot different from preaching (which is what is done for the people who are already saved). If you get on here and start "preaching" you are just going to turn people off, rather than drawing them in. I hope this doesn't sound like I'm trying to talk down to you, because I'm not.

your not, i dont take things that serious. but i would say you are wrong, Jesus said himself, "Go therefore and make diciples of peoples of all the inhabited earth, for a witness to all the nations." That intails preaching. J.C. is our exampler and what did he do while he was here. He preached. so if i have the opportunity to do it here, then so be it. but if not then i will be going against my bible trained mind.

i don't think that preaching is a necessity for being a good Christian...

Completely agree... Course you dont have to preach, I know I dont. I hardly ever even feel the need to tell people what I believe in... Not that there's any shame in it, but I just have no reason to randomly say "Im a methodist"...

Anyways, rambling now... Ill hush.
