Nothing I don't like about the HTC. The bloatware is annoying but it's not a deal breaker, and I had nothing to compare it to besides my old iPhone. The HTC UI (Sense 6) is really not bad. I've never used a Samsung but it seems just about universal that people feel like Touchwiz is much worse.

I got the N7 on a whim, I had a groupon for a new 2013 for $150 so I got it just for fun. But I love it and now that I've used stock android I can't see myself using anything else - for a tablet or a phone. Unlike you though I like having 2 mobile devices. The phone is for carrying around and the tablet for more stationary things. But the N7 is small enough that I can carry it around pretty easily if I want. I don't think they can make a phone big enough that I'll want to use it for everything that I use the tablet for - even the N7 feels a bit small. And I'd rather not have my phone get any bigger although when my contract runs out I'm going to do an intensive cost/benefit analysis of all available phones and I'll definitely be looking at the N6

And yes I definitely notice the difference between stock & bloat. Granted the tablet and the phone are sort of different animals (namely the tablet is 16GB, no external storage, wifi only, worthless camera) but the stock is just more fun to use. Android on my htc already feels very open ended and unlimited, but stock feels even more like that.

Yeah the camera isn't the best on the N6 either, not sure why they constantly fail on that. Takes too long to focus and you have to hold it dead still or it ruins the photo. Takes a couple seconds once you've pressed to take the photo to actually take the photo as well. It's above average and an upgrade from the 4 but would imagine iPhone/S6/several other devices would be better.

Good enough, but could be better.

Dude toss that thing in the trash and roll into the new millenium. You'll never go back and regret not having done it earlier.

I'm not some contrarian hipster who doesn't buy "the popular thing" on principle, but I've never felt the need for a smartphone.
I like how my phone is small, virtually indestructible and a battery charge holds for about a week. Smartphones obviously have some pluses, but none I could think of for me personally.

Its not about popularity for me either. I enjoy the ability to surf the net for sure but besides the occassional use of internet its about the ability of the phone for me also. My phone isn't giant by any stretch and my battery life is typically about four days. I also use certain apps which make it far more desirable then my old flip phone was. To each their own.

I was (a contrarian hipster) anti-cell phone for a long time, and it took pretty close to an act of God for me to break down and get one. At first, I got a Black Berry (2009-ish), which are utter crap, but I just wanted something I could tether to my laptop. After many years of struggling with that, and destroying the screen, I got a Kyocera Android phone. I think I got it in 2012. Very 'no-frills' kind of phone, but it does come in handy for checking weather radar, voice searching the internet, using the Bluetooth option for my home, and car audio (which is what it get's used for mostly), and especially the hands free ability for when I'm driving.

Don't I know it. I've always been one of those eh I'll get by type guys. But life is too short to settle anymore, step up and buy yourself nice things, there is a reason they may cost a little more, because they're worth it.

Actually, my Black Berry was $300, and the Kyocera was $100. Both on the Boost Mobile unlimited everything plan, $55 a month with a shrinking bill if you pay on time. My only gripe is I'm still on 3G, and need to go to 4G.
