Well, you have to have a cameraman, and a sound guy, and a director, and god knows who else. I don't know what you expected.

But seriously, I posted that from the waiting room of the place I had to go to for a drug test for the job I was just offered. The amount of time I had to wait, the number of people I had to talk to and everything else that lead up to the act of pissing in a cup was a hell of a lot more involved than I ever could have imagined.

Never done that but I have pissed in the sink, and in bottles.
Oh! And on Batlord while he was sleeping.

I just walk in to the place, sign my name and social on a form, go in the back where the pee guy is waiting, empty my pockets into the little lock box, wash my hands, then go in the bathroom, pee in the cup, go back out and hand it to the guy who then seals it up and asks me to initial the bottle and sign the form after making sure my info is correct. THEN I DILLY DALLY FOR 20 MINUTES ON THE WAY BACK TO WORK... BECAUSE.

In Louisiana it's pretty quick and easy. When I lived in Florida, drug testing was a b*tch, and more closely related to your description. And I don't think it had to do with the type of job I was doing, because the place was a major tester for a large variety of businesses.

Also, I had to walk about a mile and half each way in freezing rain and high winds with a still-healing broken toe. So that certainly added to the fun. |

I went into a tiny room with a toilet. Nothing else. No garbage can. Nothing. They stood right outside the door, and I was instructed to fill EXACTLY to the line on the cup, and not to flush when I was finished. They then poured it into three separate vials, sealed them, and frantically scurried away with my pee. Oh, and you have to wash your hands in a sink OUTSIDE of the bathroom when you're done. That made me not feel good about having to grab that door handle when I was walking out to wash my hands.

If so, I can certainly understand your point. But I think the wait time is obviously going to be dependent on how big the test company is, how many clients, etc. The paperwork and procedure itself is quick and easy in terms of actions. Sounds like you have a really busy place that makes it a lot more difficult than it is at its core.
