Must Be The Song...

well.....i just got in after a distinctly average day and night, nothing out of the ordinary - sat down on me bed and listened to "the scientist" by coldplay then proceeded to have a good old-fashioned blubber like a big girl for ten minutes. Is this a sign of imminent depression or could it be that im only human, who knows. Thought you might all have needed to know this as it is of course on-topic to a music forum and is also breaking news that may affect the world. Good Night.x.

.angie. 05-27-2005 06:04 PM

eh. you're only human. just don't go like, cutting and such. don't go die either. that'd be bad...

.angie. 05-27-2005 06:34 PM

yes. just a 'tad' insensitive. im sure he's not joking if he made a thread about it.. there's nothing wrong with boys that cry. honestly, why is it so bad? it's that hard for people of the male variety to show emotion?

.angie. 05-27-2005 06:48 PM

Trauma 05-27-2005 07:02 PM

Stop, you're both being bitches.
Personally, I don't think you're depressed if you were thinking unhappy thoughts and started to cry because I think unhappy thoughts all the time.
I mean I haven't cried in like 2 years now but I still think about bad $hit all the time.
Teen angst, maybe?

adidasss 05-27-2005 07:08 PM

in any case, i'm just joking with the fella...if we're going to get all serious about it, i feel sorry for tommy, things must be pretty fu.cked in his life for him to cry about it...i've only cried a couple of times in my life, and those were some pretty serious life situations...anyway, i'm sure he'll laugh about it in the morning, especially after reading this bullsh.it...hang tight tommy...if all else fails there's always good old prozac...:) ( ...ahhh...i like me prozac...:))

Don't listen to a adidias, man. Life can be emotionally taxing and letting it all out like you did probably felt pretty good. I don't think its a sign that your'e depressed, rather I think its a sign that your more emotionally stable than 90% of the male population out there who think that its necessary to repress there emotions until they can deal with them in some macho way like being physically or verbally violent.

.angie. 05-27-2005 07:33 PM

 well said.

Trauma 05-27-2005 07:49 PM

I am part of .01% of the male population who realised that crying has nothing to do with emotions and is just happy with keeping calm usually.
Since this revelation I have not cried because it is irrelevant to my state of mind.
All crying is is an opening of the tear ducts....
I mean if you didn't have a tear duct would you still be sad?
Sure.
(I'm rambling a bit but it's all in one post so it's cool.)
I don't think I'll be like a fellow displayed on Anger Management and either:
1. Be the customer in a Supermarket who gets in fights everyday.
2. Be the cashier in a Supermarket and act friendly everyday but one day explode and kill everyone.
It's just more logical to feel sad "inside" to me.

P.S. This post has nothing to do with your situation Tommy.
I was just rambling.
Don't worry, be happy Tommy.

Tommyrocker 05-28-2005 05:19 PM

meh i've not got a lot of ****...well one of my closest friends found a lump a few days ago and my dad had his van broken into. Its just when your in a sad mood all it takes is one song to make you blubber like a big blubbering blubber.

just think i had kept all me stuff kept up inside me for too long and it was just time to lettit go. Greaaaat song though - just too sad for my lil head.

Very philosophic...But you're right in a way.
But me, I have to cry whenever I feel the tiniest hint of sadness/anger/hurt... I can't stop that, but I really shud. Sounds just too logical, your post.

Sweet Jane 05-28-2005 06:13 PM

Don't worry Tommyrocker, I'd cry too if I had to listen to Coldplay. ;)

yeah, its better to say something. and sometimes its just easier to tell people you don't really know, and not face-to-face.

phoenixflames 05-29-2005 11:24 AM

I've been through alot of crap during my life, and I admit there are times when I cry alot. I'm not ashamed of it, its just who I am. If people want to criticise me for being a guy that cries, thats fine. Tommy, thumbs up for being able to say how you really felt rather than holding it in and being "macho". I think there are alot of people that cry more than they admit it. Everyone is human, and if you don't have emotion, you're a moron.

I just flicked through the bible and the history of man. Hmm mo rules on men not being allowed to cry. Hey look, if ya need to cry go ahead and cry, theirs nothing 'g4y' about it. Sh!t I cry, I bet even adidass cries to. Hell id cry if I couldnt spell adidas.
It's all good, tears are only rain to make love grow as Mr. Charles once said.
Hmm gives me an idea..

some guys just dont cry...im not saying its wrong to cry if your a guy at all. but the way your saying it it sounds like any guy who doesnt cry is a moron. everyone deals with emotion differently. personally, i dont cry- i just sulk, which some may say is worse..

Im just like that... I dont ever feel like crying. I get pissed off with either myself or other people though, I spose its better to cry than lash out at your friends, but meh, its not exactly a decision I can make..

there was no need to insult me my man...i said i was only teasing the fella, i'm not the kind of person that would hold it against a man if he cried ( i'm talking about face to face situations, not this impersonal internet bullsh.it ), believe me i'm no macho dude, if anything i'm over emotional, but it just so happens i don't cry very often, i've only cried a couple of times, for reasons that seem too personal to disclose,i in fact applaud the man for sharing his feelings, it's much easier to do that like this, impersonally over the internet, i've done it a couple of times, on another site, when i needed to talk to someone about my issues....that being said i have changed my opinion of tommy, but only for the better...

Kurt_Cobain 05-29-2005 01:05 PM

^I was only joking adidass, I don't do forum insults. You can guess why now. Tis cool no insult was intended.

No, I didn't mean that a guy who doesn't cry is a moron. I believe if you look at the post it says: "If you don't have emotion, you're a moron." Totally different. I'm not saying its wrong to cry, just that people shouldn't be criticised for doing it. Deal with emotions however you want to (just don't kill anyone) :) . I hope this clears it up. No ill will intended to anyone...
