Nice. BMX inspired single-speed road bikes are my favorite thing right now. I figured you meant "not" too expensive.. so it's cool that it has survived wrecks. I love bikes that can take a beating. In fact, I don't feel all that comfortable riding in traffic unless I'm on a bike that I know won't break if I'm in a minor collision with a car. Also, I prefer to be able to ride on gravel and dirt and hop curbs and such.

Good to see a beach cruiser actually being used to cruise to the beach.

swim....what do you mean by "too expensive for a road bike"?

anyways....MANY pictures of my baby....a very expensive road bike

the specs

early 90s hand welded Ron Cooper frame and forks
Cinelli Centurion drop bars
Cinelli quill stem
hand spoked DT Swiss deep v rims with double butted spokes
Shimano Ultegra SL prototype group....originally owned by Greg LeMond

the only difference now from when i took these pics (right after he was built....somewhere in 2009)....is the pedals....i've since started liking egg-beaters
Very, very nice. Is this the bike that you mentioned "saving from a kid who wanted to turn it into a fixie" a while back?

I'll dig up some pictures of my road bike (an Eddie Merckx Century TSX circa 1990) and show them next.

Never too late to learn! It's so much fun.

My bike got stolen, right out of my own damn yard. So now I don't have one anymore. Here's hoping for a Christmas miracle...

I wish I had my own bike but I have to use my dads when I'm at my folks.
