Fair enough, no one is making you vote.

Who has had a name change? The main thing is that people know who they are imo.

The nominations are over with, people could have voted for ex-mods (I guess?) but it was not what usually happens with that particular award.

I understand what you're saying but it's a bit late for all that now.

Ah I understand. I was just going by what Ped did last year. People had an option to vote for negative awards to be removed but only a couple did so I just left them in.

HHBH may actually be the member I'd most like to meet, weirdly enough. He's seemingly an intelligent enough guy, but his views differ from mine so much...if he's the kind of person (like me) who really gets crazy into debating things with no hard feelings afterwards, just really wanting to hear the other side and react to it...even if the arguments devolve into stupidity...that really seems like fun, to be quite honest.

I discuss politics and what-have-you with a lot of people at work, and state my viewpoint convincingly, and they just kind of cave to it and are all, "Dude, you make so much sense." and just adopt whatever I say as their new viewpoint and never really debate. It really bums me out.

Yeah but again that's who people voted for. That obviously shows that both those guys get on people's tits, hence their nominations. Vanilla can't put in nominations if she doesn't get them, so almost everyone voted for me as "Wannabe mod", which I wasn't too happy about, but it happened and who can do anything about it? You can't just remove categories because someone MIGHT get voted for in it. The cat wasn't for instance "Member you'd least like to meet vote for HHBH" --- he's pissed a lot of people off and is now reaping the seeds he sowed. Nothing wrong with that: poetic justice, say I. Treat others as you'd like to be treated. I don't understand why it's a problem for you that these two guys figure in too many "bad" categories: it's not like the cap don't fit!

And there WAS a rule about not voting for yourself, Vanilla laid that rule down early in the voting process.


Edit: this was all posted when the last post I could see here was "Big 3 most photogenic". Since then a load of other posts have cropped up, which makes some of what I say above perhaps a little redundant. I don't know why these posts didn't show up a few minutes ago.

I'm not taking any of what I said back though...
