My rant/philosophy/advice?
 

SORRY, But I can not sleep with out venting somewhere.... and I have decided that this is the home for the smartest individuals on the interwebs at my disposal atm.


How is it that we are so stupid as a species that we can be told something will give us cancer, says it right on the box yet we still partake, then we buy a ****ing magnet from the same place we bought the box of cancer that says, support cancer research??

How is it that these same style of magnets that say we support the troops. for a buck, can be put on an outsourced automobile that cost $500 a month ?

How is it that we can be more worried about 2012 something to which there is no evidence, than stuffing our fat ****ing faces and getting diabetes, something of which has a ton of evidence. Then we want a pill to make it go away, or an over night remedy.

We are all so ****ing lazy and stupid in one way or another, and dont for a second think im excluding my self, the fact that I realize this stuff so clearly and still **** up could make me the worse case of all. Look at what the holidays have become, the day after thanksgiving we go on strike because we dont make enough while the few employees we left behind get trampled by people who cant afford to be in the store in the first place.
Our country is like a caravan, you can only go as fast as your weak and sick, this country has been built to make the lazy peoples life easier, we can't afford more taxes?? Well maybe we should get off of our lazy asses and work harder, we need to be taxed, that's the way an economy works, taxing all of the successful people more, putting this burden on their shoulders is not only unfair but its gonna make them think twice about re investing and expanding.

Yeah enough energy to look like a complete idiot at work , or to move your thumbs around an xbox controller. "Its no worse than alcohol" I agree, make alcohol illegal. Sounds crazy? picture the person you love the most, now picture their skull in a two pieces on the street because at least half of the people who drink,Drive.
I do not hate our country, I hate stupidity, you cant even call it ignorance, because we know better. You know how many people I know on food stamps with ****ing iphones and beats by dre??? People that are broke all year long get taxes and spend one day living like they have money and are broke the following day.

You got played, unless you stole them or they were given to you, you fell for hype/image/and billions of marketing dollars, iphones are not even in the top 10 of the best phones and they are the highest priced and most popular!! ****ing stupid, beats by dre do not sound as good as skull candy $60 headphones but you think they do because they are expensive, they are expensive because they have to make up for marketing costs... it has nothing to do with their quality sorry, those ****ing headphones are every where and that isnt cheap, and this applies to almost everything trendy, bose has a very small marketing plan compared to a lot of the headphones they are in the price bracket of and guess what, bose headphones sound like butterflies sucking your ear dick. any one who talks **** about them either is talking out of there ass and haven't been within 50 feet of a pair, or they want their music drounded out with ear damaging bass, and know or care nothing about quality.

My iPhone does exactly what I want it to do - it makes phone calls and I can text with it. I don't really care what you think of it! Blackberries are the real ****ty phones anyways.

Im not angry, just had a rant moment, due to some things/people who were annoying me.

You shouldn't care what I think of it, everything above was just an opinion, and you are free to disagree. If the iphone was cheaper, especially to insure and monthly, it wouldn't be THAT bad, my point was just that people spend more for less if its marketed right, I am not going to lie, I had to look up the word misanthrope, and I would say that I love humans, I am a happy person, I am just upset at the choices we make, my biggest problem is that we know better and we do it any way. But I do not hate, I try everyday to do one thing to help someone else and spend time with my family everyday. I suppose later I will post a reply to my own OP explaining the things I love about us, and our country. but the second part of the definition says that a misanthrope distrusts humans... well on that part, I probably am a misanthrope, ****ty.

I'm always looking for advice, I gave some advice at the end of my OP and that is why that word is in the Title, the question mark is representing the fact I wasn't quite sure what to name this thread...

I posted this on here, because If I were to post it on FB I would get 100 likes, and one person bitching about their iphones, or swearing that their beats by dre were dope, which if you read the entire post is far from the point. I wanted intelligent interaction, and there are a few inllegent people on here, I have noticed. At the end of the day. its just another thread for discussing.

It's all good. I only paid $75 for my iPhone because I was eligible for an upgrade on my existing contract with my provider. Now I just pay $25 a month without data. I had an Android for a short period before that but it was a small screen and bulky- I did not like it. The iPhone was the only option in the upgrade package besides a Blackberry Storm (I think that's what the other one was). So I took the iPhone. It's a 4S and I haven't had any problems with it. It's even been through the washer. The screen cracked a bit but Apple replaced it for me at no cost. So I have no complaints!

Yeah, mine was only $99 for the same reason. So far I have no complaints at all. It does everything I want it to and does it extremely well.

I boycotted Apple many moons ago. Their products are great, I just can't go back on my promises.

Apparently things have changed, so I am wrong about iphones, I was unaware of the change in price, they used to be very expensive (no unlimited data, $17.00 a month to insure, and about $300 with a contract)

So, My point still stands, just apparently NOW they are not that bad of a choice, but they were at one point and there are a million other examples of this. I supposed they got so popular they could lower the cost some, because so many were being bought. I dunno. lol

I think she still has a carphone.

Lucky you! My dad has had about 6 or 7 Blackberries in the past 4 years, because they kept breaking or they were all just not working right after awhile. I have friends with similar stories, and I used to have a Blackberry Pearl a few years ago, but the hinge broke after 8 months and they wouldn't give me a new phone.

I have a Blackberry for a few months now and it's fine, apart from the fact that it decides to randomly turn itself off every now and then, and there seems no way to stop it. Quite annoying. But other than that it does me fine.

Apple I must admit I hate, especially after watching a "Watchdog" TV programme (show that investigates false claims, rip-offs, shoddy work etc) where it was shown that the new "voice assistant" or whatever it's called that Apple were trumpeting, that can tell you when the bus is due or where the nearest restaurant is, GPS and all that, only works in the US. Didn't stop them selling the phone --- with the facility as an upgrade --- outside the US. And when challenged, the ****s said "We never claimed it worked outside the US". Well no, but you sold it to people you knew didn't live in America, and made no effort to tell them the feature they were paying for was useless because it would not work, so it's more a lie of omission, but still a big fat lie, something Apple seem to have no problem telling.

Hate them.

Well, I live in the US and I have that feature (Siri) turned off on my phone. That's how useful I find it.

Siri? Yeah. I have it turned off on my phone!! So pointless.

I get what your saying man but what's the point? You can't change the world from a internet rant on a anonymous music forum. I agree with most of what you said but it just seems like wasted energy. At least you know who you are and where you stand though but people like what they like. Whether its I phones or effing Taylor swift.

What I find is a lot of people try too hard to remain intelligent. You gotta let go a bit, take it easy breezy, fool around and have some dumb fun as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. I find intelligence can make a situation a lot more stressful sometimes. Do what you gotta do dude. Have a beer on me. :beer:

I actually used to have that EXACT phone. It was my very first cell phone and I got it in 2001 when I was 11. Had it for about 3 years.

Soon, my Crapberry will finally crap out, and I'll need a new one. The biggest problem I usually face is not being able to read the dam thing. After working with computers for 20+ years my eyes are going quickly. So, I'll need something with big buttons. May as well take my Geritol, wrap a shawl around me and just bite the bullet.

Yeah but seriously? People about to climb into their coffin? I mean, I'm nearly 50, but surely you'd need to be able to ring your family, friends, grocer, doctor, I don't know... seems pointless. And more than a little insulting.
