It is real, they used to have ads on TV over here for them. Like I said though, they're for old people, as in the elderly, not 50 year olds.

Yeah, but.. my aunt is 95 and even she can dial us on her home phone to see how we're getting on. She gets the names mixed up sometimes, but hey, she's five years short of being on this planet a century! But she can stilluse a phone at her age. I really think that's condescending of the designers. Do they just assume everyone past a certain age can only push three buttons??

It has more than three buttons. You can also scroll through a contact list and hit "yes" to call whoever you want.

OK, I was just going from the above, which made it seem like more a Fisher-Price thing than a real phone...

Well, I was going by the photo too. You can see in the picture that the phone has buttons to scroll through and select contacts.
