I hate that when wine stops you getting out of your house! It's as bad as those crabs that stop people visiting you...

First "Dude, what?" : he's responding to my asking if the status update from Jamie Lang was the same as one posted previously about some guy accusing people of robbing him, and saying no, that was JAMES Lang.

Second "Dude, what?" : Numpties (singular, numpty) = pointless idiot, or thereabouts. What you'd call *******s I guess...

I know that, but the sentence is incoherent.

FETCHER. 03-21-2013 11:44 AM

Just read this. It's not often I am baffled but this guy is a prime example of a total scumbag.

"Hahahaha apparently cuunts are going to attempt to march through Larkhall on Sunday wae crosses & shhit to protest against sectarianism, all they're gonnae get is a few sore faces & bloody noses, they'll never ban sectarianism from this place & al be there tae protest against the scumbags. Leave us at peace interfering wanks."

I know I'm from a severely bigoted and sectarianist area but this really shocked me.

14232949 03-21-2013 11:47 AM

We live in a really ignorant country. I severely hope we have enough intelligent people to vote against independence.
If we were left to our own vices, we'd just implode.

FETCHER. 03-21-2013 11:51 AM

Yeah because the country is full of narrow minded ****ing idiots.

I was sitting at a restaurant the other day when some pregnant young lady with a child and two other women are seated at a table near us. The first thing I noticed was her grating voice, and throughout the evening I could hear her spewing profanities at levels you can't tune out. She and her female friends decided to order a bunch of sangria, so between the loud profanity in front of a child, and drinking alcohol when pregnant I couldn't find out if I felt bad, or angry.

Scarlett O'Hara 03-22-2013 03:07 AM

I saw a women smoking while pregnant. It's awful but it does happen.

My mom works in a hospital in a bad part of the city, and she get's all kinds of junkies giving birth. It sucks because 1. You have a newborn coming down off whatever the mother's choice of substance is 2. The poor kid won't have much of a future 3. A lot of the people that come in like that aren't exactly "friendly".

FETCHER. 03-22-2013 08:12 AM

The docs apparently tell you not to quit smoking when you find out you're pregnant as the body is going through enough dramatic changes without withdrawals.

Not to say I don't think they're wrong tho.

It's not so bad. My mom smoked when she was pregnant with me and I turned out totally fucking perfect.

That's good Engine, that's good.

ThePhanastasio 03-23-2013 12:47 AM

I mean, my mom smoked with all three of her children. She quit periodically, but everytime she got pregnant, she'd been back smoking. All of us are of above average in IQ, got good grades, and, aside from me, avoided droogs.

But I was the oldest child. That was almost to be expected.

And the tobacco contributing to low birth weight or whatever - all three of my sisters and myself were of average size.

My mom did NOT drink when pregnant with any of us, so I have no say as to what effect that has, but tobacco had no real effect on us.

For the record, I'm 25 and feel I will never have children. When my mother was 25, she had a six year old and a four and a half year old. But I turned out all right. My sister who's 23 turned out all right. My youngest sister, a freshman in high school, is a varsity cheerleader at the top of her class with her grades, and turned out well.

Guybrush 03-23-2013 05:37 AM

You can't say your mother smoking had no effect on you. You don't know how you could have turned out otherwise. And anecdotal evidence is generally quite poor, f.ex statistically.
