Wow.

I always really liked him. He signed up here the exact same time I did and was such a fixture ever since. Really shocked by this.

RIP, Patrick.

One young woman's mother joined the forum to say her daughter committed suicide. And now, of course, I learned of Howard's passing with this thread.

The other three were more of a mystery but they were all connected to other members via Facebook and such. So that's how THOSE people found out, and then shared it with the rest of the board.
And of course there was someone here whose son logged in last year to tell us his father had died.

Sad news, indeed.
I was reading some of his posts just the other day, getting a good chuckle out of them.
He had quite an interesting sense of humor and some good taste in music for the most part (Captain Beyond, R.E.M., Hawkwind, Frank Sinatra, among others.)
I will certainly miss him.
R.I.P.

Oh my God. This is awful news. I was legitimately getting a bit worried for him, and now I hear this.

He was incredibly inane, had a questionable set of morals, and did a lot of stupid things... but he was really very nice, very funny, and has made my time here on MB more enjoyable. This place won't be the same without him. I'm gonna miss that duck.

The only guy who really dug SMiLE like me on here, maybe barring Jansz, and he laid down the law in the Neil thread. He was actually who I most liked to see posts from, i guess cuz i found him closer to my ideals. I dunno. This is a huge bummer, tragic in that he would suffer this at such an age. But anyway, this makes my halloween mixtape that much more melancholy. I'm gonna miss his shit. Goodbye, Howard.

:(

Wow. Are you ****in kiddin me?

That's definitely his Facebook, he lived in Malaysia, I know. This is unbelievable. Howard was one of my best friends the entire time on this forum. I probably talked to him more than anyone, mostly in the bob Dylan thread. He was a cool guy, always could turn a nasty situation into a funny one. Never really saw him stoop to someones level when they took a shot at him. He had a great sense of humor.

I've never met the guy but I sincerely saddened to hear this. This place will not be the same for me. I will truly miss him.

Rest in peace, Howard.

I'm shocked and saddened to see this. His presence on the forum was huge and he will be sorely missed. I can't begin to imagine what his family are going through right now. RIP Howard, you will never be forgotten.

I'm fairly bummed about this news. I miss his goofy antics already. Everyone else said beautiful things already but he will certainly be missed for being that goofball we all loved or loved to ignore. I certainly enjoyed his time here. Thanks for spending your time with us Duce! Respect.
