how do i put a bigger avatar ?

hmm.. well, I see alot of people with big avatar pics at this forums.

for some reason, this site doesnt let me put a bigger pic as my avatar :O
it just resizes my pic to a tiny size :<

Speaking of avatars, I probably should change mine (as good of a job as Pedestrian did), although at this point I'll probably just ride it out until December. I'll be that lazy family that leaves their Christmas lights up all year.
