Depends on what kind of drama we're talking. If the subject is something I consider stupid enough or if my dramatic sparring partner is acting dumb or immature enough, I may consider the whole thing to be beneath me and just ignore it. That's often how I deal with some of the forum drama that goes on. It may sound a bit cocky, but I don't see why I should waste time and energy and get frustrated over things which are, ultimately, stupid.

If it's something or someone I don't think is dumb enough to ignore, I confront.

Nuke it from orbit, it's the only way to be sure

Also open and loud mockery of any and all unnecessary drama did the job in my case, now drama queens seem to avoid me.
So violence, and if that doesn't work, fear.

I usually just tell the person to calm down and use some sort of reasoning and encouragement on how to deal with the situation.

Sometimes I don't say anything, if someone decides to go whacko about me, I shut my mouth or sometimes say "ok"...

I don't do drama.

Pretend that you interpret what drama he or she is trying to start as a joke. That usually makes people realize how stupid he or she is being. I haven't had drama for four years. Of course, this may only work if you're able to emotionally detach yourself from the conversation. People who are easily riled up and try this may be seen as passive-aggressive.

And yes, despite the light tone, I am somewhat serious. Dealing with unnecessary drama and/or drama queens is rarely worth the effort. It's easier to avoid having to deal with it by making sure the drama generating person knows you ruthlessly mock any drama thrown at you.
Then again I might just be a bitter old man.

i'm just wondering who, after physical violence fails, would ever be afraid of you. i think you switched the two up, fear then violence.

Um... Wouldn't that just cause more drama, especially if it fails?
