I used to be REALLY into The Mars Volta. I hate the direction they went in Deloused in the Comatorium is still my favorite album of all time. There is a song on the album called "Roulette Dares". Exoskeletal is from a lyric...

"Exoskeletal, junction at the railroad tonight..."

That and I like words with both an 'x' and a 'k' in it.

I picked this name way back in 2005 when I had been playing guitar for a couple years and it was really becoming my "thing", that I did and identified with.

Bizarre was because like most teens I had a real appreciation at the time for "random" humour and so on. Also it rhymed and made the name unique enough that it was never taken on websites.

I wanted a user name that had something to do with music. Besides liking Rock I have a some interest in Folk music from around the world. So I picked a name of a music scale that is often used in Italian madolin music: Neapolitan scale - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I have to admit that I also read it as "mojopunk" and I done so for like first two years on MB, it was only recently that I noticed it as "Mojo Pin UK." People mess up my user-name all the time too (e.g. Neopolitan or Napoleon) I gave up correcting them. People tend to shorten names and give nick-names, there are one or two I don't care for but I don't mind "Neo" - a Matrix reference.

For me, I simply chose from a short list of single-word nouns that I like. I wanted a palindrome but.. close enough.

Like Ribbons, I was listening to a song when I signed up. Burning Down by REM, and it happened to be my favourite song of theirs at the time.
