Hasn't Vancouver got any real beaches?

Too far north and too far west, they were nearly all filmed in Spain which was a cheap stand in for Texas and Arizona etc.

Possibly, I don't know. I've never been there. All I know is that they manage to get some surfing in over the summers (which are kind of mild apparently), and that it rains a lot. Maybe Vancouver Island has some decent beaches, because you'd actually be out on the Pacific. |

We've got some okay beaches, especially over the last few years with the hotter temperatures. Actually late July/ early August there's this fireworks festival called the Symphony of Fire (I refuse to call it the Celebration of Light) where there's a big barge out in the middle of English Bay and on Wednesday and Saturday there's big firework demonstrations played to classical music. It's a bit of a competition so we have other countries come and bedazzle us with their cool explosive stuff. It was always my favourite part of summer, at least until I moved out of the neighborhood that's close to English Bay and had to try and get home with 10,000 other people.
That's the main beach where everyone gathers, but there's a few others along the coast that you can go to to get just as good a view. |

I've always wanted to visit Vancouver, the location of the beach looks nice but just too crowded.
