I think nihilism existed prior to Nietzsche though.

Yeah it did which is why I said in relation to modernity. Philo pessimism dates back to Ancient Mesopotamia (~1000 BCE) iirc.

I think that pessimism and nihilism have a lot of fundamental crossover.

I have a slider where I cross fade between pessimism and nihilism.

That's a staple in Trent Reznor's studio.

No and gladly so, but I'm not sure what that has to do with your lack of critical thinking.

I'm not sure what half of your posts have to do with my lack of critical thinking either. Seems like most of them feature you chasing your tail because you refuse to admit holes in your own reasoning and anecdotal knowledge so instead you try and downsize me by saying that I don't understand anything despite sources and evidence to back up my claims. It seems the "embarrassment about my belief" I was accused of showcasing was projection.

We've reached projectinception since you're not considering whether or not you're misinterpreting either philosophy :bonkhead:.

I've also learned that Frown would probably ban himself before he would ever concede a point to another person in an argument. Eventually it'll boil down to his opponent not being able to understand concepts whatsoever despite providing and clearly outlining the meaning of peer-reviewed evidence.

♪ Whatever I'm projecting, you'll project harder, you'll project everything harder than me ♪

To get this thread back on track I'd like to submit people attributing things happening their or others' lives, positive or negative, to the will of the universe.

Example: "Slipped and twisted my ankle today. The universe hates me :("

I found people who say this are also the ones who go on about toxic/negative energy affecting their zen. I think it was parodied in some awful Amy Schumer sketch awhile back in which to only entertaining part was Bill Nye saying "that makes no ****in' sense".
