Burning, you sound soooooo Canadian it's unreal. I don't even know how or why people get Americans and Canadians mixed up.

Oh gawd.

If I also had to say 'water' like that in front of my friends. I'd probably get stabbed.

edit: I immediately regret this. I have a shit voice and accent.
Your voice is great! What are ye talking about?? I love scottish accents! So much freedom in them.

This made me smile. Your voice is very exact in this. What part England are you from?

Seriously?! :O I'm quite surprised although I had no predictions. I thought a good bit further south though .

Edit: @Cru haha yes! That's what they call it, freedom.

I'm starting to fear for my voice.

At work, my boss is the voice on our generic hold message. The number of customers who mistake my voice for his is remarkable, despite him not sounding or talking like me.

This is compounded by the fact if I ring into work on a day off, nobody in the office recognises my voice. I get told every time that I sound really different on the other end of a phone.

Online, I've had people assume that I'm actually from Colorado of all places. Now I'm being told I sound southern. My band's singer FREQUENTLY tells me that I have a black man's voice.

Am I some sort of crazy unintentional vocal chameleon or something?

Is it generally accepted/agreed we just quote the words in the first message, or can you be a bit more creative? I'd like to be a bit more creative, might take people's minds off my annoying boring drone of a voice...

I guess you can say what you like. I think those words were just examples because sometimes people have trouble coming up with stuff on the spot like that.
